Each year, the US GSK Center for Medical Education uses a rigorous application and evaluation process to identify a limited number of educational providers who can apply for grants.
The providers selected are those who most rigorously and competitively meet our eligibility and performance criteria:
(1) Academic medical center, hospital or healthcare delivery system, or professional medical association that represents healthcare professionals who deliver patient care;
(2) Have a centralized IME/CME/CPD department, be directly accredited by ACCME, and currently have Accreditation with Commendation status from ACCME, which includes (among other requirements)
(A) Demonstrated ability to act as a strategic partner in quality improvement initiatives within their institution, health system, or community through collaborative alliances1
(3) Demonstrated ability to design and deliver educational initiatives that objectively measure improvements/changes in healthcare professional performance (Level 52) and/or patient health (Level 62) and a history of collaborative efforts among multiple stakeholders.
